Entrenador (a) deportivo (a) es el responsable de orientar con idoneidad procesos pedagógicos de enseñanza, educación y perfeccionamiento de la capacidad motriz específica de individuos que practican un determinado tipo de deporte, disciplina o modalidad deportiva. Esta orientación se realiza en niveles de formación deportiva, perfeccionamiento deportivo y de altos logros deportivos.
