El militar o el funcionario civil al servicio de las Fuerzas Armadas que, teniendo conocimiento de la comisión de un delito que le corresponda investigar de oficio, no cumpla con ese deber, será sancionado con multa de quinientos a tres mil pesos y con retiro temporal de las Fuerzas Armadas o pérdida del empleo, según el caso.
