En la basílica Primada se erigirá, de acuerdo con la autoridad eclesiástica, un monumento de mármol, digno del Benemérito Prelado, con esta inscripción:

EL CONGRESO DE COLOMBIA,

al Ilustrísimo y Reverendísimo señor doctor Bernardo Herrera Restrepo, Arzobispo de Bogotá, Primado de Colombia.

1844-1928

En la ciudad de Medellín, en el lugar que acuerden el Gobernador del Departamento de Antioquia y la autoridad eclesiástica, se levantará un busto en bronce del ilustre Prelado, con las mismas inscripciones en el pedestal.
