º. Desde el día 1º de abril de 1934 y mientras las necesidades de la defensa nacional lo hagan necesario, los tenedores de letras o giros, sobre el Exterior, de cualquier fuente que provengan, deberán vender al Banco de la República, para el Gobierno Nacional, el veinte por ciento (20 por 100) del monto de tales letras o giros, al tipo del 113 por ciento para los cheques por dólares, y en proporción equivalente para las divisas extranjeras, de acuerdo con las cotizaciones del mercado.
