La pérdida de los libros de contabilidad a causa de apropiación indebida de un tercero, incendio u otra calamidad, solo eximirá de responsabilidad cuando el interesado haya dado aviso a las Oficinas de Impuestos Nacionales dentro de los ocho (8) días siguientes a la ocurrencia del hecho y sin que haya mediado requerimiento.
