Establécese en la ciudad de Sincelejo, su tierra natal, en el departamento de Bolivar, un plantel mixto de bachillerato nocturno, anexo al Instituto Simón Araújo que funciona en dicha ciudad, el cual llevará el nombre de "Instituto Mixto de Bachillerato Nocturno Eugenio Quintero Acosta".
