La presente ley tiene por objeto regular el ejercicio de la especialidad médica de neurocirugía en el territorio Nacional, con la intención de garantizar la idoneidad de los médicos que la ejercen; establece funciones, modalidades de ejercicio, y derechos de estos especialistas. Crea un organismo asesor, consultivo y de control del ejercicio de la práctica de la especialidad.
