El representante y su suplente de la Asociación Colombiana de Universidades Ascun, serán elegidos entre los rectores de las universidades pertenecientes a la Asociación, por un período de cuatro (4) años. Su calidad se acreditará mediante certificación expedida por la Ascun, en cuanto hace referencia a la pertenencia de la universidad a dicha Asociación, y por el Icfes, en cuanto hace a la calidad de rector.
