La administración y manejo de la fauna silvestre deberán estar orientadas a lograr los objetivos previstos por el Artículo 2 del Código Nacional de los Recursos Naturales Renovables y de Protección al medio Ambiente, Decreto 2811 de 1974, para lo cual se tendrán en cuenta las reglas y principios que ese mismo estatuto establece y los que se relacionan en este capítulo.
