ARTICULO 140 . Defensoría pública . El servicio de defensoría pública, bajo la dirección y organización del defensor del pueblo, se prestará en favor de quienes carecen de recursos económicos para proveer su propia defensa a solicitud del sindicado, el ministerio público o el funcionario judicial.
