Aprobación previa de la Superintendencia Bancaria . Con el propósito de dar cumplimiento a lo previsto en el artículo 305 del Estatuto Orgánico del Sistema Financiero, las personas que pretendan adquirir un porcentaje igual o superior al 5% de las acciones del Banco Popular, deberán solicitar previamente autorización a la Superintendencia Bancaria. La misma regla se aplicará a aquellas negociaciones en las cuales los potenciales adquirentes sean accionistas del Banco y deseen incrementar su participación accionaria al 5% o más del capital social o elevar en cualquier proporción la participación que ya posean por encima del límite antes señalado.
