El producto de las rentas se contabilizará sobre la base de su reconocimiento, y corresponde al año fiscal en que éste se efectúe. Se entiende por reconocimiento el acto de liquidar o determinar la cuantía de lo que deba recibirse por concepto de impuestos o de cualquier otra renta o recurso de capital.
