Art. 12. El portero de la Secretaria está a las órdenes inmediatas del Secretario i debe: Hacer diariamente el aseo de las oficinas; Recibir de la Administracion de Correos la correspondencia que las oficinas públicas i los particulares dirijan a la Secretaría; Llevar oportunamente a la Administracion de Correos la correspondencia que la Secretaría dirija, debidamente anotada en un libro, que se llevará al efecto; Asistir a la oficina durante las horas de trabajo para ejecutar las operaciones que se le ordenen; Desempeñar los trabajos que los Jefes i Oficiales de las secciones le ordenen en materias del servicio; i Cuidar de que las puertas de las oficinas, al concluirse los trabajos diarios, queden bien cerradas.
