Los colombianos bajo banderas y el personal que labore en las Fuerzas Armadas y en sus entidades descentralizadas adscritas, o vinculadas, quedan incorporados para efectos deportivos, durante el tiempo de servicio, a la Federación Colombiana Deportiva Militar. Al terminar el tiempo de servicio militar o al retirarse, quedarán reintegrados al organismo deportivo de origen. Si no pertenecían a uno diferente de las Fuerzas Armadas, permanecerán en ésta hasta tanto obtengan autorización de transferencia, expedida por la Federación Colombiana Deportiva Militar.
