El Intendente ejerce, respecto del territorio de su jurisdicción, todas las funciones que en las leyes se atribuyen a los Gobernadores de los Departamentos, y estará sujeto .a las mismas responsabilidades de éstos. Todos los organismos, empresas, servicios y funcionarios públicos, en el orden administrativo y político, establecidos 'en el territorio de la Intendencia, dependerán del Intendente, y estarán sometidos a su jurisdicción, como Jefe de la administración seccional y agente del Poder Ejecutivo.
