Una vez sancionada la presente Ley, el Gobierno procederá a adquirir para la Nación la propiedad del ferrocarril que comunica en la actualidad la ciudad de Cúcuta con la frontera de Venezuela. Para este efecto declarase de utilidad pública esta obra y su adquisición por el Estado.

Parágrafo

Adquirido por la Nación el ferrocarril a que se refiere el presente artículo, el Gobierno procederá a modernizarlo y a dotarlo convenientemente.
