Articulo 40. Los giros ordinarios se expiden por medio de un libramiento postal que el Jefe de la oficina expedidora entrega al remitente para que este lo envié al destinatario, quien lo presentara en la oficina a cuyo cargo está girado. El giro telegráfico se expide por medio de un telegrama ordinario, que el jefe de la oficina de correos emisora tiene el deber de hacer transmitir a la oficina sobre la cual se ha librado.
