El Instituto de la Gestión del Agua de La Guajira tendrá por objeto gestionar el recurso hídrico en el territorio del departamento de La Guajira y la reducción de la vulnerabilidad de la población de las amenazas económicas, sociales y ambientales que están sucediendo con relación a la falta de acceso al agua de la población, de conformidad con lo establecido en el artículo 13 del Decreto número 1250 de 2023.
