ARTICULO 177 . FUNCIONES DE SEGURIDAD PREVENTIVA Y JUDICIAL. Los miembros del Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria y Carcelaria Nacional, además de sus funciones propias, tienen las de seguridad preventiva para la guarda del orden público en la zonas aledañas a los centros de reclusión, y de policía judicial de acuerdo con el artículo 41 de la Ley 65 de 1993.
