Lo dispuesto en el artículo anterior no impide que los testigos digan que no saben o no recuerdan los hechos, o se nieguen a contestar cuando no se les pueda obligar a que revelen lo que se les pregunta. Lo que debe evitarse es que, sabiendo y recordando los hechos y teniendo obligación de declarar, encubran la verdad con expresiones vagas, diminutas, incoherentes o faltas de sentido.
