Los instrumentos públicos y los documentos privados extendidos en país extranjero de que se quiera hacer uso en Colombia, deben estar autenticados por el respectivo Agente Consular o Diplomático de la República, o en su defecto por el de una Nación amiga, lo cual hace presumir que se conforman a la ley del lugar de su otorgamiento.
