Las consultas al Registro Nacional de Desaparecidos podrán ser realizadas por las instituciones intervinientes de acuerdo con las funciones de su competencia o a través de solicitud presentada ante la Comisión de Búsqueda de Personas Desaparecidas y/o autoridad competente y dirigida al ente coordinador. Ello, sin perjuicio de la creación de mecanismos de acceso de la comunidad a la información dentro de las normas legales vigentes y medios técnicos disponibles.
