El objetivo del Sistema General de Información Administrativa del Sector Público es consolidar información que sirva de soporte al cumplimiento de la misión, objetivos y funciones de cada uno de los organismos y entidades del mencionado Sector Público, dando cuenta del desempeño institucional y facilitando la evaluación de la gestión pública, información que servirá de base al Gobierno Nacional para la formulación de políticas y la toma de decisiones en materia de gestión pública.
