Para efecto de la prestación del servicio militar obligatorio, se establece un servicio especial equivalente con el carácter de auxiliar de la Policía Nacional. Los colombianos que cumplan con esta obligación, tendrán derecho a que se les expida su tarjeta de reservista en la especialidad de Policía. El Gobierno reglamentará las operaciones y servicios que este cuerpo auxiliar debe cumplir.
