La Intendencia Nacional del Amazonas será administrado por un Intendente del libre nombramiento y remoción del Poder Ejecutivo, de quien dependerá directamente. Este empleado durará en su destino dos años y podrá ser reelecto. El Gobierno señalará su asignación y sus atribuciones y deberes.
