No podrá extenderse el perímetro urbano de manera tal que incorpore dentro del área por él determinada, suelos que según la clasificación del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi pertenezcan a las clases I, II o III, ni a aquellos correspondientes a otras clases agrológicas, que sean necesarias para la conservación de los recursos de aguas, control de procesos erosivos y zonas de protección forestal.
