Secretaría Técnica

Ley 99 de 1993 · por la cual se crea el Ministerio del Medio Ambiente, se reordena el Sector Público encargado de la gestión y conservación del medio ambiente y los recursos naturales renovables, se organiza el Sistema Nacional Ambiental, SINA, y se dictan otras disposiciones.

La Secretaría Técnica del Consejo Nacional Ambiental será ejercida por el Viceministro del Medio Ambiente.

Las funciones de la Secretaría Técnica, además de las incorporadas dentro del reglamento del Consejo Nacional Ambiental, serán las siguientes:

Actuar como Secretario en las reuniones del Consejo y de sus comisiones y suscribir las actas;

Convocar a las sesiones del Consejo conforme al reglamento y a las instrucciones impartidas por su presidente;

Presentar al Consejo los informes, estudios y documentos que deban ser examinados;

Las que el Consejo le asigne.
