Art. 178. El Administrador de Correos que a sabiendas dejare de dar curso a pliegos relativos a elecciones ó los destruyere, sufrirá la pena de uno a ocho años de reclusión y será inhabilitado para servir destino o cargo público.

Si conviniere en que otro lo haga pudiendo impedirlo, sufrirá la de inhabilitación y la mitad de la de reclusión.

Si faltare a algún otro de los deberes que le están impuestos, pagará una multa de cincuenta a doscientos pesos.
