El optómetra debe a sus colegas en la profesión el mayor respeto, consideración, lealtad, solidaridad y aprecio. Debe evitar cualquier alusión personal ofensiva, o que pueda ser interpretada como tal, en relación con sus colegas. Se abstendrá siempre de juzgar o criticar desfavorablemente las actuaciones profesionales o privadas de sus colegas, salvo cuando actúe como perito o juzgador de una conducta profesional de uno de ellos.
