La evaluación académica institucional, ya sea ésta autoevaluación o evaluación externa, es el proceso mediante el cual la institución educativa establece si ha alcanzado los objetivos y las metas de calidad académica propuestas en su Proyecto Educativo Institucional, PEI, y en su plan de estudios, y propone correctivos y planes de mejoramiento.
