En los eventos previstos en el artículo 28, el imputado y el perjudicado podrán acudir en cualquier momento del proceso, por sí o por medio de apoderado, ante un funcionario judicial de conocimiento o ante los centros de conciliación o conciliadores en equidad de que tratan los artículos 66 y 82 de la Ley 23 de 1991 . Los acuerdos que allí se logren se presentarán ante el funcionario que está conociendo del trámite contravencional para que decrete la extinción de la acción.
