Son Oficiales de Vigilancia, los egresados de la Escuela de Cadetes de Policía "General Santander", que educan, instruyen y comandan los Cuerpos de la Policía Nacional, cuya misión es la de coordinar, dirigir y conducir los diversos servicios de orden y seguridad en el territorio de la República.
