Artículo cuarto. La Medalla Cívica del Mérito Asistencial y Sanitario Jorge Bejarano, es una condecoración y deberá usarse como tal en los actos acostumbrados. Su entrega; se hará siempre en ceremonia solemne, por el Presidente de la República, en la primera categoría, y por el Ministro de Salud Pública en las categorías segunda y tercera. Cuando el Presidente o el Ministro no puedan entregarlas personalmente, se harán representar por otro funcionario.

Decreto 1366 de 1966 · por el cual se reglamenta el artículo 9° de la Ley 12 de 1963, y se crea la Medalla Cívica del Mérito Asistencial y Sanitario Jorge Bejarano, como homenaje de la República a las personas que se distingan por sus servicios a la salud y asistencia públicas.
