Si el retiro de que trata el Artículo anterior se produjere por invalidez absoluta y permanente para toda clase de actividades, tanto militares como civiles, adquirida en el servicio, cualquiera que sea el tiempo de este, el oficial o suboficial tendrá derecho a una asignación mensual de retiro pagadera por la caja respectiva, igual al sueldo de actividad correspondiente al grado que tenía en el momento de ser retirado.
