Según la naturaleza general de sus funciones, la índole de sus responsabilidades y los requisitos exigidos para su desempeño, los empleos del Departamento Nacional de Planeación se clasifican en los siguientes niveles: Directivo Asesor Ejecutivo Profesional Técnico Administrativo y Operativo.

Decreto 182 de 1987 · por el cual se estable el sistema de nomenclatura y clasificación de empleos del Departamento Nacional de Planeación, se fijan las escalas de remuneración correspondientes a dichos empleos y se dictan otras disposiciones.
