Funciones de los consejos de veeduría Comunitaria . Los consejos de veeduría Comunitaria tendrán las siguientes funciones

a)

Conceptuar sobre la necesidad de autorizar un servicio comunitario de vigilancia y seguridad privada, dentro de los quince (15) días siguientes a su elección;

b)

Ejercer veeduría permanente sobre las actividades desarrolladas por los servicios comunitarios de vigilancia y seguridad privada;

c)

Enviar informes trimestrales a la Superintendencia de Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada con las recomendaciones y medidas que considere pertinentes para el buen funcionamiento de los servicios comunitarios de vigilancia;

d)

Recomendar a los Gobiernos municipales, departamentales y nacional medidas y políticas para garantizar la seguridad ciudadana y estimular la colaboración con las autoridades;

e)

Emitir concepto previo que justifique el porte o tenencia de armas para el servicio comunitario de vigilancia y seguridad privada;

f)

Adoptar su propio reglamento.
