La Dirección del Montepío Militar estará á cargo de una Junta residente en la capital de la República, de la que son miembros natos el Ministerio de Guerra, que la presidirá; el Comandante en Jefe ó Jefe de Estado Mayor General, el Inspector General del Ejército, el Tesorero del Montepío y el Abogado del mismo. En caso de faltas temporales ó accidentales serán suplentes: del Ministro, el Subsecretario de Guerra; del Comandante en Jefe ó Jefe de Estado Mayor, el Secretario Militar de la Presidencia de la República; del Inspector General, su Secretario; del Tesoro del Montepío y del Abogado, el Auditor General de Guerra.
