Se entiende por pequeña industria toda empresa cuyo capital no exceda de cincuenta mil pesos ($ 50.000), que no utilice más de diez (10) trabajadores o que sea operada familiarmente, y que se dedique a la elaboración o transformación de materias para la producción de efectos destinados al mercado.
