°. Serán objeto de concesiones otorgadas mediante licitación pública los aprovechamientos forestales sobre áreas comprendidas entre 10.000 y 100.000 hectáreas de bosques naturales o artificiales ubicados en baldíos y demás terrenos de dominio público. No obstante por las características del bosque, el Instituto de Desarrollo de los Recursos Naturales Renovables -INDERENA- podrá otorgar en concesión extensiones mayores o menores a las establecidas en este artículo.

Parágrafo

Para concesiones y permisos de estudios forestales en áreas superiores a 100.000 hectáreas se requiere autorización del Gobierno Nacional, mediante resolución ejecutiva.
