Es el acto mediante el cual el Comandante de la Fuerza respectiva, el Director General de la Policía Nacional, el Director del Inpec o la persona en la que estos deleguen, dispone la cesación en la obligación de continuar prestando el servicio militar de un Soldado, Infante de Marina, Soldado de Aviación y Auxiliar de Policía o Auxiliar del Cuerpo de Custodia por causales diferentes al licenciamiento.
