Art. 4.° Dicho Cónsul deberá asistir a los reconocimientos que públicamente se practiquen en la Aduana del Táchira, de los cargamentos a que se refieran las mencionadas copias, teniéndolas presentes en aquel acto; pero se abstendrá de toda jestion oficial ante la Aduana, ménos que el Gobierno de Venezuela estime conveniente otorgarle espontaneamente derecho para ello . Esto no implica que no haya de solicitarse en tiempo oportuno certificacion sobre los hechos que juzgue conveniente hacer constar de ese modo, para ponerlos también oportunamente en conocimiento de la Aduana de Cúcuta.
