Art. 4.° Cada batallón tendrá de cuatro a cinco compañías, con los Oficiales i clases que permiten las ordenanzas. Los Jefes i Oficiales serán nombrados por el Poder Ejecutivo, i no podrán ser variados de sus destinos sin ordenes espresas comunicadas por la Secretaría de Guerra i Marina.
