Al reestructurarse la planta de cargos del Ministerio se tendrá en cuenta preferencialmente a los funcionarios que actualmente están vinculados al servicio del Ministerio de Educación Nacional.

Parágrafo

Los Inspectores y Supervisores Nacionales de Educación adscritos a la Planta Central del Ministerio serán ubicados en la Dirección de Ordenamiento y Coordinación Educativa Regional, conservarán su carácter docente según lo establece el Decreto 2277 de 1979 y deberán participar y apoyar las acciones de asesoría, inspección y vigilancia de las demás direcciones generales del Ministerio.
