El Director General de Aduanas y la Junta General de Aduanas, tendrán su residencia en la ciudad de Barranquilla, sin perjuicio de los viajes y visitas que el primero puede practicar a cualquier ciudad o lugar del país donde sea conveniente o necesaria su presencia. El Director General de Aduanas podrá hacer aquellos viajes y aquellas visitas cuantas veces él mismo lo estime conveniente. Los viáticos serán fijados por el Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público.
