En la plaza principal de la ciudad de Marinilla, por cuenta de la Nación se erigirá un busto a este meritorio ciudadano, y se colocará una placa con la siguiente leyenda: "El Congreso de Colombia a la memoria del gran civilista Doctor Román Gómez".
