Quedan sujetos a las disposiciones de este Código los contratos de transporte interno o internacional, estos últimos a falta de convenciones internacionales que sean obligatorias para Colombia.

El contrato de transporte se considera interno cuando los lugares de partida y destino fijados por las partes están dentro del territorio nacional, e internacional en los demás casos.
