Para la elección del representante de los empleados de carrera de las contralorías distritales y municipales en la Comisión Seccional de Carrera, los jefes de las Unidades de Personal o de las dependencias que hagan sus veces en dichas contralorías, dentro del día hábil siguiente al vencimiento del término previsto en el artículo 17 de este decreto, enviarán al contralor departamental las listas de los candidatos inscritos que hubieren reunido los requisitos exigidos. De no inscribirse ningún candidato o ninguno hubiere acreditado los requisitos, así lo manifestarán al contralor departamental.
