Tiempos mínimos de servicio en cada grado. Salvo los casos especiales contemplados en los artículos 26 y 29 de este Decreto, fijanse los siguientes tiempos mínimos de servicio en cada grado, como requisito para ascender al inmediatamente superior: I- OFICIALES Subteniente .... cuatro (4) años. Teniente. cuatro (4) " Capitán . cinco (5) " Mayor cinco (5) " Teniente Coronel cuatro (4)" Coronel cinco (5) " Brigadier General cuatro (4) " Mayor General cuatro (4) " II-SUBOFICIALES Cabo Segundo tres (3) " Cabo Primero cuatro (4) " Sargento Segundo cuatro (4) " Sargento Viceprimero cuatro (4) " Sargento Primero cinco (5) "

Parágrafo

En tiempo de paz, los Oficiales en el grado de General deberán solicitar su retiro de la Policía Nacional al cumplir tres (3) años de servicio en el grado.
