Art. 140. Terminado el escrutinio, el cual se hará en sesión permanente y cuyo resultado se mandará publicar en el acto, el Gran Consejo declarará la elección respectiva en favor del candidato que hubiere obtenido la mayoría de los sufragios y participará el resultado al Congreso, al Gobierno y al individuo electo.
