Artículo primero. A partir del 1° de enero de 1963, auméntase a nueve pesos ($9.00) el Salario mínimo rural general, excepto en las actividades de producción o explotación de banano, en las cuales se aumenta a diez pesos ($10.00).

Parágrafo

El salario mínimo que se fija en el presente artículo solo se aplica a los trabajadores mayores de diez y seis (16) años que laboren jornadas máximas legales no inferiores a nueve (9) horas. Para quienes trabajen jornadas diarias inferiores a nueve (9) horas, regirán los salarios mínimos en proporción al número de horas trabajadas.
